Cynthia Scheuer Bio

Cynthia Scheuer brings more than three decades of comprehensive client, accounting, and auditing experience to her role, plus a proven record of dealing with complex corporate financial reporting issues, especially SEC requirements. Prior to joining UHY, Cynthia served for eleven years as CFO of a public company. In this capacity, she directed and managed all financial and administrative areas and successfully raised capital in significant stock offerings for the firm, including a registered direct transaction, a private investment in public equity securities, and rights offerings to existing shareholders. Cynthia worked fourteen years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. In her role as Senior Manager, she led audits of corporate and multi-national clients, some with revenues over $1 billion. Cynthia is UHY’s New York audit and assurance practice leader. She oversees technical accounting and quality control processes related to audit engagements in the firm’s New York practice. She also serves on numerous UHY LLP committees, including the UHY LLP Management Committee, and the SEC and PCAOB Audit Quality Committee, which monitors the quality of SEC audits, monitors SEC & PCAOB developments, and develops/updates UHY’s SEC policies and procedures
