Earl Dowling Bio

Earl Dowling is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group, based in New York. Prior to joining PJT Partners, Mr. Dowling spent 23 years at J.P. Morgan in a variety of roles covering leveraged finance. Most recently, he served as Head of North America Technology Leveraged Finance. Prior to that, Mr. Dowling was Co-Head of J.P. Morgan’s Leveraged Finance business for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Head of Technology, Media and Communications Leveraged Finance, based in London for four years. Mr. Dowling's experience spans the globe and across the capital structure, including executing transactions for the first Asian companies to access the U.S. leveraged finance market and among the first preferred equity investments for internet companies. He specializes in debt capital raising for corporates and financial sponsors, across transactions including LBOs, M&A, first-time issuers and restructurings that are both broadly syndicated and clubbed with targeted investors. Mr. Dowling received a BA from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
