Eberhard Crain Bio

Dr. Eberhard Crain (b. 1948) founded CBR Management GmbH together with Dr. Wolfgang Behrens-Ramberg in 1999. Together they set up the equity fund for the EquiVest I Fund. Dr. Eberhard Crain is a founding limited partner of both EquiVest funds. Prior to this engagement he was a founding member of Vector Beteiligungsberatungs GmbH, affiliated company of LBO France and LBO Italia representing the equity fund Europe Capital Partners in the German-speaking markets. Other equity funds which he oversaw in Germany included Bessemer-Metzler, DLJ Merchant Banking Partners II and PPM Ventures. From 1987 to 1990 he was a member of the board of the Thurn & Taxis Group, Regensburg, from 1981 to 1987 managing director of the sheets and film division of Höchst AG, Frankfurt and from 1980 to 1981 managing director of Lauda Air Luftfahrt GmbH. Further he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. He holds an MBA from the prestigious INSEAD, Fontainebleau and a PhD. - Dr. iuris - from the University of Salzburg. He was the assistant of Nobel Laureate F.A. von Hayek. He is a reserve officer in the Austrian Bundesheer (Federal Armed Forces).
