Garrett Charon Bio

Garrett Charon is a partner in the firm’s private equity transactions group in the New York office. He represents private equity sponsors and other investment management firms in a wide range of transactions, including leveraged buyouts, going-private deals, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and dispositions. He counsels clients throughout the entire life cycle of their investments – from initial investment in a portfolio company through ultimate exit – on corporate governance and management equity matters, add-on acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, leveraged recapitalizations, capital markets liquidity events, securities law matters, and other commercial and strategic considerations. Garrett also advises alternative asset managers, including leading global asset management consolidators and medium-to-smaller-sized advisory firms, in a variety of strategic transactions, platform acquisitions and minority investments in other advisory firms. Garrett has advised clients on large acquisitions across many industries and verticals, including financial services, software, health care, industrials, consumer/retail, business services and asset management. He represents many leading private equity firms on a regular basis, including CCMP Capital, New Mountain Capital, Partners Group and TPG Capital.
