Ian Ganzer Bio

Ian joined Yorktown in 2020 and has more than 15 years of experience in the mining and metals sector and looks after Yorktown’s interest in these areas as well as the standalone battery storage portfolio. Prior to joining, Ian worked at two Yorktown portfolio companies developing mining operations in the US, Canada and Australia. Previously, he worked in a number of public and private mining companies throughout North America. Ian serves on the boards of EnerSmart Storage, Ramaco Coal, Thoroughbred Resources and the Yorktown Energy Infrastructure Fund. Ian graduated from Emory University with a BA in economics and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
