Ian Spaulding Bio

Ian Spaulding is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in Los Angeles, and leads the firm’s Activism Defense practice globally. Mr. Spaulding has over 20 years of experience advising companies and Boards across industries with respect to complex strategic matters, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, recapitalizations, and strategic capital raising. Prior to joining PJT Partners, Mr. Spaulding was a senior Managing Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Group at Goldman Sachs. Over the course of his career, Mr. Spaulding has advised on transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $400 billion across public and private M&A in North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Spaulding began his career in investment banking in the Los Angeles office of UBS. Mr. Spaulding received a BA from UCLA.
