Naama Margolis brings over twenty years of experience in the aerospace and defense industries to her practice at Shibolet. Naama is also widely recognized as one of Israel’s leading experts on global trade compliance, and heads the global trade compliance practice at Shibolet & Co. in Tel-Aviv. Having spent over a decade as in-house and outside counsel at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) , Naama has extensive experience in both regulatory and commercial legal support for complex international transactions. During her time at IAI, Naama was heavily involved in the enactment of Israel’s export control regulatory framework and has continued to take an active role in dialogue with legislators and regulators on trade control matters. Following her time in-house at IAI, Naama moved to her own boutique private practice, where she continued to focus on commercial and regulatory support for both local and foreign clients in the aerospace, defense and hi-tech industries. Naama has since merged her practice with Shibolet & co, and advises on complex legal, regulatory and policy issues that involve international trade and investment, export controls, sanctions as well as anticorruption compliance. Naama and her team support compliance with domestic laws and policies as well as management of regulatory challenges with international dimensions. At Shibolet &Co, Naama’s clients span traditional market leaders, multinational corporations, and disruptive startups. Naama’s clients in operate in the defense, aerospace, telecommunications, infrastructure, electronics, cyber and software industries. Naama serves as regulatory counsel in connection with investments, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) , and a wide range of cross-border transactions. Naama advises on compliance with the full range of relevant global trade regulators in Israel, including the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economy, and Ministry of Finance as well as foreign regulators with an extraterritorial reach.
