R. David Bergonia Bio

Mr. Bergonia co-founded North American Funds in 1989 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. Previously he was Vice-President-Corporate Finance at The Chicago Corporation which was a regional investment banking firm that specialized in initial public offerings, private financings and merger and acquisition transactions for middle market and lower middle market companies. Prior to this, Mr. Bergonia held various positions at Heizer Corporation including Vice President-Administration, Legal Counsel and Secretary. Heizer Corporation was one of the nation’s largest venture capital firms and the first public Business Development Company. Mr. Bergonia began his career as a tax associate at Winston & Strawn in Chicago. Mr. Bergonia has a J.D. from Harvard University and a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
