Yale Hertzman Bio

As a partner in our Corporate/Commercial Group, Yale Hertzman acts for a broad range of clients, from family-owned and closely-held enterprises to large public and private corporations. Yale frequently provides clients with general, day-to-day commercial and business law advice. She often acts as an external “in-house” counsel, advising clients on commercial and legal issues impacting their businesses. Yale has significant expertise in drafting and negotiating all types of commercial contracts, from corporate governance agreements such as shareholders agreements, partnership agreements, and joint venture agreements, to agreements governing all levels of the supply chain such as procurement agreements, distribution agreements, sales representative and reseller agreements, services agreements and licensing agreements. Yale understands the importance of a well-drafted contract. She recently completed a course entitled Drafting Clearer Contracts with Kenneth Adams, a leading Canadian authority on contract drafting.
