F. James Becher, Jr. is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Geneva Corporation. Geneva is one of the largest privately held companies in North Carolina, distributing products for Allison Transmission DaimlerChrysler, General Electric, General Motors and Kohler Company. Since founding the company in 1979, Mr. Becher has directed the overall strategic initiatives of Geneva, which acts as holding company for its autonomous operating divisions. Previously, Mr. Becher was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for the paper division of Mead Corporation and President of Gilbert Paper Division. Mr. Becher is actively involved in business and community affairs, serving as board chairman and director for numerous organizations.
